Wireless router

* A wireless router interfaces an internet connection and wireless devices. It has its own DNS registry, and converts entered URLs to IP for the user to navigate. It also may transfer data between wireless devices, such as PC to printer or PC to PC. Usually to access the internet, a wireless router also needs an internet modem, but many of today’s wireless routers have a modem built in. Computers, depending on speed, added software and accessories can range from $300 to over $2,000, per pricewatch.com.

Simple software packages can cost $15, and software/hardware bundles can total more than $1,000, according to pricewatch.com.
