• What is discrimination? How is discrimination different from prejudice and stereotyping? The denial of opportunities and equal rights to individuals and groups because of prejudice.Discrimination is an action or policies that is based on prejudice or partiality AKA racial discrimination. Discrimination differs from prejudice and stereotyping in a way that discrimination isn’t just an negative attitude that rejects an entire group, as prejudice is defined. Discrimination is the denial of opportunities and equal rights to individuals and groups because of prejudice or other arbitrary reasons. Prejudice does not necessarily end with wealth. Discrimination also has cumulative effect so that people today are victims of past and current differential practices.As whereas stereotyping is unreliable generalizations about all members of a particular group without considering a individuals differences.

• What are the causes of discrimination?There are many different causes of discrimination on of the causes ,one of which is learned behavior. If you grew up seeing discrimination practiced by your parents, you will probably folllow the same mind-set. It involves the actual behaviors towards groups such as excluding or restricting members of one group from opportunities that are available to another group.Another cause of discrimination could be how people was rasied. Some of the causes of racial discrimination include cultural history. Discrimination factors are race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age (40 or older), disability or genetic information. That is just a few things that can cause discrimination against others.
