My Personal Ethics Statement: As a student and a mother, I have to maintain my ethics and moral values to being respectful and always doing the right thing, always showing each of my kids my integrity to always being fair and committed figuring out my duties, and most importantly always leading with responsibility

My Ethical Lens Inventory Discoveries: My blind spot: Belief that motive justifies method. Because I am so clear about my reasons for acting, I tend to believe that the motive justifies the method. I unintentionally cause people upset and pain because I focus on good motive. I tend to believe ethics is a set universal rule that everyone must follow, just do it. I think of them all as rules everyone should

My Preferred Ethical Lens: The rights and responsibilities is my preferred lens, I use reasoning skills to determine my duties as well as the universal rules everyone should follow

My Strengths and Weaknesses: My strengthens are I am a very self-determined person who will go to any lengths to success, knowledge is power and I love having the upper hand of what my life will become my biggest weakness is I tend to think or listen with my heart which brings my emotional Intelligence into perspective and everyone knows how that can mess up all the right thing or right ways your suppose to think.

My Values and Resultant Behaviors: My value individual balance and restraint in the desire to pleasure as I seek to satisfy my duties. I know who I am and can act with integrity in the exercise of all virtues. I am responsible.

I would use my personal ethics to determine a course of action in the following ways: I use my personal ethics in everything I do, they are a must in the work place, home life, even to go to the grocery store, and the biggest one is respect. The way you look at your personal ethics or how you use them is in my eyes how far you will succeed. The rights and responsibilities are a guide you should live by in everyday life.
