world looks to many different sources to be able to keep up with the world the buzzes by around us. Whether it is listening to the radio on our way to or from work or watching the evening news on the TV we depend on these sources to get the news. Our music that we now listen to has changed and seems to keep changing faster and faster. Our movies are becoming more high tech and each trying to top the box office with the year’s best picture. How does this shape who we as Americans are becoming? Simple we are becoming more and more dependent on technology to be able to survive in today’s world. What’s the latest news or gossip? Our cell phones are now equipped to alert us when the breaking news stories hit. With all this happening around us it has become harder for us to stop and think for ourselves. We tend to form our options on our favorite reporter or web sites.

One example of this is we turn to web sites or doctors on T.V. to tell us what the latest tends in heath and fitness are. From the shows we can watch to the 15 minute segments we can catch in the news this is how many people find out about the new healthy way to be. From what foods to eat or not eat, ways to cook or foods, or my favorite the newest diet to hit market. The trends here are endless and the more people watch the more are trying news things.

One other trend that seems to be booming is the amount of police shows and crime solving shows that are on for others to watch. We can now take a look in side American jails as well as what it is like to be locked up in a different county. From CSI and its many branches to Law and Order and all its branches we can flip the channels and see how to walk a case threw from the beginning to the end. Some of the shows seen on T.V. give a detailed account of the dumbest criminals caught in the act.
