The hospital urology department wants to establish a sexual dysfunction clinic. The department head wants to get an estimate of the number of males ages 36 to 60, in the community suffering some form of sexual dysfunction. In this report the best you will gain additional information regarding the Marketing Process on several scenarios that would be best used for marketing products or services. In order for the department head to get an estimate the director must go through the marketing research process. This process involves defining the problem in which is to get an estimate of the number of males age 36 to 60 with some form of sexual dysfunction. The second stage is determining the research objectives. This stage can take one of four forms: exploratory, descriptive, test hypotheses or predictive. The best methodology to use to collect the data would be to test hypotheses. Once the hypotheses have been tested then the research design can be created. The data can be either primary or secondary data. Secondary data would be the best in this case because this is data that has been previously collected for another purpose by questions for a profile. On the other hand primary data would not be a good method because it is costly and could take some time to research.  Secondary data will include data from federal and state government as well as commercial firms in terms of historic and forecasted analysis. The final stage of the marketing process involves analysis and evaluation of the research results. This can be qualitative or quantitative. If the problem was defined and specific research objectives were covered the marketing head should be able to obtain some sort of estimate for the sexual dysfunction project.
