ABSTRACT / EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The executives of Tunku Abdul Rahman College (TARC) plan to organise some events that are beneficial to the students of Business Studies. For example, they would like to minimize the range between the study environment and the business world by having activities that involve the participation of business traders. This action provides the Marketing specialists with an opportunity to investigate the average financial status of the students and what businesses, which brands and what items are favorably accepted or in another word, popular among the students.

Research has shown that there are a lot of reasons which will affect the consumers’ decisions when buying an item such as design, price, quality and brand of the item. However, the brand of an item would be the first thing consumers would take into consideration when buying an item. Therefore, a brand is the most valuable elements for a company or a business as it represents the image, status and what the brand owner is able to offer in the market. A brand with positive impression and quality status will definitely attracts a lot of customers.

In order to determine the level of consciousness in using branded items among the female students, 20 female business studies students were surveyed using a stratified random sample data-gathering technique. A hundred percent of those surveyed responded.
