It requires intelligent secondary search and a high degree of conceptual clarity. Each group of at most three students shall critique 2-3 academic journal papers (published not earlier than 2011) on a particular topic such as Aligning Incentives in Supply Chains, Application of Logistics & Supply Chain Analytics (Transportation, Sourcing, Distribution, Warehousing, Network Design, etc.), Engineering Driven Sustainable Supply Networks, Modelling Food Supply Chains, Modelling Lean Logistics, Modelling Integration of Physical and Financial Supply Chains, Supply Chain Contracts, Services Supply Chain Modelling, Retail Supply Chain Modelling, Supply Chain Risks, Sales & Operations Planning, Novel Applications of ICT in Supply Chains to suggest a few. Each group has to submit a report of not more than TWENTY PAGES of A4 size sheets (Excluding Cover Page). It will be graded on content as well as spelling, grammar, and presentation. The Report should be submitted in both hard copy and soft copy (MS Word or PDF) in the following format latest by 11:00 PM, 10.07.2013: • • • • Introduction/Background of the study (motivation) Actual Review / Critique (including scope of papers, strengths and weaknesses, your own reflections relating to actual industry/ managerial applications/ suggestions/ comments) Learnings from the reviewing activity References used, in proper referencing style (APA/ Chicago/Harvard).
