The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), model is an outline developed by BCG, to assess the strategic place of a business product portfolio, and its potency. The classification of the business portfolio is in four classes founded on industrial attractiveness in terms of rates of growth in the industry (healthcare) and the relative market share, which implies a competitive position. These two attributes show probable profitability for the business in terms of money needed to sustain the venture and the money generated through it. The general purpose of this section is to show that natural birth classes are profitable ventures, and are worth investing (Stern, 2006).
A BCG matrix gets based on the interpretations that organizations business units may be categorized into four classes as Cash and Cow, Question Mark and Dog. The matrix focuses on the market share and growth or the business classified occupied business. The business of choice in healthcare is natural childbirth classes. This is a star business as it holds limitless avenues and possibilities, which include products and services, childbirth classes, and seminars. In healthcare, such an opportunity is of particular interest and shall necessitate a high amount of research and training. However, specialization in this field is highly rewarding, and results in high demand. This form of business introduces opportunities to early childhood educators, childcare givers and nurses who might be interested (Gimbert, 2011). Depending on the specific community and region, homework should be done so that the business adheres to the regulations and policies of the recipient community.
