Heineken walk-in beer closet

In this very funny ad, we see a small group of women being shown around the house by a friend (Host) on what looks like a formal house party. At the beginning we see she introduces the group to the living room and then takes them to the bedroom where she has her pride and joy; the walk-in closet! The commercial goes into its humor by showing a group of men in another room also have a fancy walk-in closet but full of Heineken beer. Without giving away too many details on the commercial, this ad is very effective in its humor and can appeal to a wide range of beer drinking audience with emotion (pathos), credibility (ethos), and reasoning (logos).
This commercial uses humor and emotions to appeal to its audience. As we can see towards the end of the commercial, the men are clearly as emotional with a walk-in closet full of beer as the women are with a walk-in closet full of clothes and shoes. After viewing this ad, it does give the viewer a sense to go out and have a cold Heineken with your friends. It also shows male bonding as you can see when the husband first opens his closet and all the cold Heineken beers are displayed in such an inviting way that one of his friends simply just cry and the others show these overwhelming emotions by screaming which is another selling point for this beer.
The ad builds credibility by using its own name, Heineken. A Dutch imported beer known for its great taste. The beer has been around since 1873 and still remains one the most post popular alcohol beverage among beer drinkers. You can also see the reaction of the guys when they see the green cold bottles with a lighted Heineken logo which gives the sense that they are getting a quality premium when it’s come in a green bottle than an American brown bottle and its fancy label.
