Kudler Network Design
Abstract
Kudler Fine Foods has developed a reputation throughout California as a grocer willing to provide unparalleled service for their customers and the proposed network changes will allow Kudler to maintain that reputation. Primary among these improvements is the network upgrade(s) that will result in significant improvements in job efficiency for many Kudler employees. This increased efficiency will be felt in virtually every department within the Kudler system resulting in better customer service, a smoother and more reliable supply chain and increased communications among company employees. The improved network will have a significant effect on Kudler’s ability to connect systems to their distribution suppliers; increasing their business agility and ability to react to the ever changing market demands created by unpredictable aspects like the weather. Rapid, effective communication is a key element of every successful business plan and Kudler’s is no different. With that in mind, communication capabilities throughout all of the stores are being upgraded to a VoWLAN Centrix telephone service provided by Verizon Communications.
Real time network monitoring through use of the Nagios® network support application(s) and security monitoring will also be implemented into the upgraded network, elevating Kudler’s network to a much higher standard of service that will allow the company to grow while still maintaining a “concierge” level of service for their customers. A Visio diagram of the new network is attached to this document in order to provide a visual representation of the new network.
