After reviewing majority of the posters submitted, I narrowed the posters down to 3 particular posters that interested me because of the area of psychology they created their posters in. The first area of psychology that stuck out to me was Abnormal Psychology. Abnormal Psychology was the very first area I was interested in when I began college. The second poster was Educational Psychology. I wasn't interested in learning about this until I found the love of teaching, after teaching for an elementary school. Last but not least, Counseling Psychology. This area didn't catch my attention at first but after reviewing it, it struck a spark of interest I never knew I had for counseling. All three of these areas have had some significance in my life.
As I looked at the Abnormal Psychology poster, the first thing that came to mind was professionalism. This posters’ appearance is very crisp and sophisticated in every detail possible. Not only that but it educated me on a deeper definition of Abnormal Psychology and informed me of the educational requirements I would need to fulfill this desire. I didn't know mental health psychologists made that much, which made me even more interested in this area of Psychology. The academic requirements to get into the master’s program at UNF were extremely detailed and informative. This poster was simplified so one can understand but it also provided very important information regarding this area. This area of psychology will go hand in hand with the studies I want to conduct concerning abnormal behaviors in a classroom. I would like to know how it affects the grades of the students and what can teachers do to resolve this problem.
