Discovery Project: Career Interest

The field that I am currently studying in would be in Mechanical Engineering. The nature of Mechanical Engineering is a field of finding and solving problems with anything mechanical they work to solve problems with anything in the process of goods and the fixing of the machines that produce goods when they break down. Something else that they work with is computers they use these to work out problems to help employers save money, time, and effort. Mechanical Engineers work with engines, machines, and work with and make a wide verity of tools. Something that is the same in all engineering fields is the working conditions they will sometimes vary from job to job, but something’s that they all do have in common are they all require safety equipment such as guarding for equipment and safety glasses. Most places of work are normally clean unless working on broke down machines even then they are mostly dirty because of oil and debris.

Something that is a big difference depending on where you get hired and how much experience a person in this field has is income a person can expect to earn any where from Forty-Five thousand dollars a year in an entry position, and work there way up to on the high side of One Hundred and Five thousand dollars a year with experience. In the Engineering field there is expected to be a big growth of jobs over the next couple of years and the growth in this field is among the highest in all fields. Another reason this is a good job is its wide variety of jobs that a Mechanical engineer can do being able and trained in many different areas they can get a job with many different kinds of businesses. In this field there are a few things needed to become a working engineer, a two or four year degree in engineering, being able to multitask, being able to work in many areas of the engineering field not only in the specialized area trained.
