Trayvon Martin vs Zimmerman

( Not Guilty)

Trayvon Martin was a 17 year old African American young boy who was shot and killed on February 26, 2012 in Sanford, Florida by George Zimmerman, a 28 at the time year old mixed Hispanic man. During this trial for Trayvon Martin, the jury was convinced that Zimmerman was not guilty due to self defence. I as well as many others who watched the case have many reasons for which we saw that he was guilty, but many others have reasons to say that he was not guilty. The first main issue that will be discussed is when questioned by both parents on who they thought was screaming in the background on the tape both parents replied by saying it was their son, but the jury went by Zimmerman's mothers reply instead of just not using that as evidence because no one could recognize the voice. Something else that will be discussed is that Zimmerman plead guilty and was found not guilty with no charges brought to him and Trayvon Martin is deceased.

The trial of George Zimmerman began on June 10, 2013. This trial has left many heart broken and upset because of the way it ended, but it left some in relief. Zimmerman as the head of the neighborhood watch program in their neighborhood he had supposedly called the none emergency tip line on several other occasions because of suspicious people wondering around. As said by the media and news, the day that Trayvon Martin was killed he was walking home from the store with a pack of skittles and a Arizona tea in his hand, and he was supposedly as stated by the media racially profiled because he was walking with a hoody on his head (abcnews.com). As the news tells us, when Zimmerman saw Martin walking down the street he immediately called law enforcement and began to follow him after being told not to do so.
