Develop an initial sales promotion schedule

The initial sales promotion schedule is used to promote and increase sales on a new product for the company. In this case, Hershey has set up detailed information for the team to review of the monthly events for 2013-14 year. Below is a copy of the schedule that will provide the different items that will contribute to the promotion.

January 1, 2013- Hershey will hold its first meeting to introduce the product to the employees and the goals of advertising the new product. This meeting will provide information as to what the product is and what we plan to do to promote this product to the consumers.

February 1, 2013- The advertising plan and budget will be put into place with the production and advertising team, CEO and the President of the company. As a company, the team is going to come together and decide on the cost we will need to have to finance the new release and budget of the product. Also the team will decide on the methods of advertising.

March 1, 2013- The goal during this month is to begin promoting the product on different sites, such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instragram. The company website will also have promotions available on there. Hershey plans to have a brief commercial that shows new and old members what we have to offer and why they should try our new Chocolate Covered Chips.

April 1, 2013 to June 1, 2013- During the next two months have samples to distribute to local stores, such as grocery store and other stores that sell our product by employees advertising the new product. Tables will be set up and coupons will be given out at the time of this promotion for $1.00 off a purchase of the new product. Mass amount of coupons will be mailed out to current and potential new customers.

July 1, 2013 to September 30, 2013- Product will be launched into different store but not all stores will have this product available. The company is looking to see how sales are by giving certain store chains...
