Part 1

It appears that my top two dominant gifts are those of pastoring/shepherding and administration. Apparently, I have a gift for evangelism as well. These results came as a small surprise to me because I already had a bit of an idea that my gift lay somewhere along those lines, yet the results also showed me what I did not expect. For instance, I've had some experience with telling other people about Jesus Christ and serving as a substitute leader of my small Bible study group. Administration, however, is something relatively new to me. Perhaps this is God's way of telling me that I have untapped potential in that area.

Part 2

1 Peter 4:10 says that "Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms." (Bible Gateway, n.d.). Since I now know what my gifts are, I can put this verse to good use in specific ways. For instance, I am already involved with a small Bible study support group and I have substituted for the leader of the group on different occasions. What I can do is to continue to train under him, gain greater experience and continue studying the Word so that I will be able to lead my own group someday. I can also train as a pastor for a particular church and then serve as one later on. Yet another thing I can do is to volunteer to lead church activities and programs as part of my training in shepherding the flock of Christ.

The administration gift will come in handy if ever I choose to be involved in church programs and activities. There are programs that require a lot of attention to details: sports festivals, community meals, feeding programs and others. Having a gift for administration may mean delegating different tasks to different people, watching the cash flow, attending to logistics and so on. In that way, I will be both a leader and a manager....
