Prayer for College Students and Graduating Students

Dear Lord, as these young people continue in this new college life help them to never forget to devote time of praise and worship to You. We know that you are the One who sustains us and the least we can do for everything that You have done for us is to dedicate time to You. Help us to know that renewing the mind in You is a necessary part of life.

We also pray for all of the Instructors, Professors and Administrators. Please give them the wisdom, strength and courage to be the best instructor and administrator that they can be. Help them to stay healthy as they do well to teach us.

We pray dear Lord that you will give our college students the guidance that they need to have fun while still maintaining a schedule of proper study and needed rest. Help them to know that sometimes they need to “bow out” of a particular social event in order to meet the needs of academic success. Protect them as they seek your help in scheduling time for everything.

Dear Lord, we want to be sure that we are keeping company with the right people. Help us to be friendly to others and to welcome them into our world. Remind us that sometimes we need to ask forgiveness when we have offended others. Help them to be forgiving when others have offended us.

I also ask that you protect the graduates as they head into the future. Graduation is such a rite of passage, Lord. You have done so much for them so far. Getting this far has not always been easy, but I ask that you continue to offer strength, courage, and discernment as they go into a world that is not always black and white. May they find love and friendship, make lifelong friends, and find your plan for them in the experiences you provide.
