In the world there are many different ways of communicating among people, different signs, languages and many others. I am a guy from Venezuela who lives in the United States and who is a son of a Swiss mother. I am mixed among Spanish, French and English. All of these different forms of communication that I have learned have given me possibilities to communicate with a wide variety of people all over the world.

Usually the first times I communicated with others in their native language I used to make signs with my hands to try to give them a better idea of what I was saying and to help them out to understand what I was saying. While learning all of these different languages I struggled a lot to communicate with other people, especially with young people of my same age. Older people tended to talk in a way that helped me understand most of what they were saying, they helped me more with my mistakes and usually corrected me in a nice way, young people in the other hand mostly used slang phrases that made me feel like I was not even part of that conversation because I was not understanding a word they were saying, most of the time they laughed at my mistakes and never corrected me.

In my native language I use to talk to the people in different ways depending their age and social status. For example, if I see the parents of one of my friends I usually talk very informal to them, but if I see a parent of another friend who is not one of my best friends I usually act much more polite and respectful. When referring to an old person, for example a grandfather, I use the most polite and respectful language possible because I feel a lot of respect for that kind of person. However, when I am talking to someone else in a language that is not mine, I talk to everyone in the same way and refer to every person in the same exact way, because I do not know how to talk to others in a foreign language and refer to them in the same way I do while...
