Experiences with Indian Service Sectors

1. Aviation Sector

Indian Airline had the monopoly in Indian Domestic aviation industry till 1990. Bust post 1990 Indian Airline was converted into limited company to enable private firms to enter into the aviation sector.

At present the Indian Airline limited has been merged with Air India and it is the national carrier for domestic and international travels. Major private players in the aviation sector at present are Indigo, Spice Jet, Go Air.

I have travelled with different domestic carriers and my experiences with them have been varied.

Best Experience

My Best encounter till date in the aviation services has been with Indigo Airlines. I prefer Indigo over any other carrier because of its pricing, timeliness, hospitality, food quality and overall behavior of the staff members. The customer call center services are prompt and provide with the complete information regarding booking and cancellation charges. Also the waiting time on phone while connecting to customer care executive is less. The ground services of all the carriers I have been travelled is more or less same but the on air services provided by Indigo are better than others. The flight attendants are well behaved and have a ready to help attitude providing prompt services.

Worst Experience

My Worst encounter has been with the Air India. Being the national carrier so much is expected from the company but it did not deliver to my expectations. The tickets are costly and on air services are very slow. I had to wait for more than half hour to have a glass of water. Also the flight attendants are not that active as compared to other carriers.

2. Telecom Sector
