Project name: Edson Truck stop

Scope definition:

The objective of this project is to build a truck shop at the intersection of highway 213 and 561 in the city of Edson. This project will have 36 truck diesel pumps, convenient store, restaurant, truck wash and a 100-room hotel. This project should be completed in one year at a cost that will not exceed 12 million dollars.

Project priorities:

Our priorities are to meet Edson Fuel Inc. expectations in 12 months at the cost of 12 million dollars. At this point we are going according to the original plan with the original specifications. Edson Fuel Inc. is entertaining the possibility of adding truck parts to the department to meet the customer’s needs given this possibility; the project might be extended for another 90 days. Edson fuel Inc. is willing to accept the delay and extra cost.

Please note that feasibility study, design and procurement were developed by Edson Fuel Inc. AJ construction is only responsible for the pre-turn around construction, turn around construction and major construction.

Responsibility Matrix (RM):

Edson truck stop responsibility matrix is complicated. There are 4 teams involved in this project. Vice president of AJ Construction has approval authority. AJ Construction’s Director of operation who has input authority only. A Project manager who has approval authority and site manager who has review and recommend authority.
