I had three topics in mind that I was very interested in doing my research paper on. The topic that caught my eye the most was “Should we as citizens be able to carry concealed weapons in the work place and in public. This topic can get very complicated because there some people who feel that you should be able to carry these weapons and some think otherwise. While researching information on this topic I found helpful and useful facts that support and help me explain my argument. We as human being should have the right to protect our self at any given time.

There are two reasons why I decided the elaborate on the topic. Once reason is because as American citizens it is stated that we have the right to bear arms. This means that we have the right to own a concealed weapon. I feel that this law is violated in so many ways because of the limitations that have been put into place. The second reason why I decided to research and write on this topic is because we should be able to protect ourselves at all times no matter where we are. In my opinion most crimes are committed in public places. If give the chance to protect our self and others the crime rate may drop. Of course there should be limitations put on who can carry a gun (I.E. a convicted felon or someone who was diagnosed with a medical condition.). I think that these two reasons are more than enough to explain my argument.

My audience will consist of those who own a concealed weapon, those who are interested in purchasing and owning a concealed weapon, and those who are involved in insuring that we as American citizens are granted all of our rights. Most of my audience members will be law makers, elderly and young people. And also people of all different races. I think that this is a subject that will reach people of all ages and color.
