-How many people in this world have found their own dreams and passion?

-And how many people have not realized what they want to do?

I always asked myself these questions in order to comfort myself, because i was the one of those people who are not strong enough to fight even they realized their passion. I used to be a champion of the regional mathematics olympiads, an ambitious student union president, a member of the national rotaract club, and a confidential student of my mathematics teacher but a brave girl who is loyal to own dreams. Since i was quite good at mathematics and social sciences, everyone around me used to see me as an successful banker-to-be or an economist-to-be without asking me what i want to be. Especially my parents wanted me to be a banker since my middle school senior year. Before i talk to my parents about my dream, they have already planned my future without asking me.

When I talked about my future with my parents for the first time, they have only asked me which school was i planning to get in. Since my parents talked about financial market thing to me “instinctively”, i was afraid to tell them that i was wanted to be an architecture. Because my parents were completely against my joyful drawings and they used to think that i was wasting my time. I tried to talk about my dreams to my family for many times; however, each time conversation end up to the same point. Even my parents were not forcing me, their pleading and convinced conversation made me change my mind.

“Mom, but I don’t think this is right. I don’t want to be an economist at all.”

“Since you’re young, you don’t understand the reality. People should do what they can, not what they want. I’m sure you will not disappoint us. Right?”

“OK, I got it, i’ll do my best, mom”
