DB is now an integral part of our day-to-day life that often we are not aware we are using one. DB is a collection of related data. DBMS is the software that manages and controls access to the DB. DB application is a program that interacts with the DB at some point in its execution. DB system is a collection of application programs that interact with the DB along with the DBMS and DB itself.
