B. Background of the study

Throughout the world, travelling thru bus is one of the common transportation to be able to reach your destination. As we all know bus travel is one of the cheapest ways to get around that’s why there are lots of commuters who settle with this transportation. It is also an alternative of the airplane because it’s very budget friendly way to travel. Some prefer riding a bus instead of taking the train or bringing a car with them when going to their destination because they find it more convenient even if it’s time consuming especially when traffic is present. But even if bus travel is cheap and convenient, there are some uncomfortable aspects when riding a bus.

C. Rationale/Significance of the study

Bus travel can be quite crowded, there would be some passengers standing in the aisle while some sit in the steps near the entrance. Taking the bus would put you in the situation where in you don’t know who’ll sit beside you, a total stranger. When there are few sits remaining you have no choice but occupy the vacant sit. Usually buses have 2 to 3 sits in a row lucky for you if the person right beside you is not that too big to occupy your space, you don’t have to feel jam-packed. But since riding a bus comes with chances, there would be a time that you need to settle in that seat and just be contented with the space for your body. Aside from having trouble with the available space of the seat, there are some buses that make your seating position very uncomfortable because of the limited space for your thighs and legs. Also, when the passengers are seated in the window side, it’s hard for them to get out from where they are because of the insufficient space.

Aside from standing, sitting is the most frequent body posture. Comfortable seating must not only be considered in workplace but also when riding a bus. Seats should...
