* Checked modification status, and perform mechanical inspection of missiles and missile components such as corrosion, damage, loose or missing hardware, proper stenciling and nomenclature.
* Performs duties of renovation, demilitarization, loading, modification, and normal maintenance of high explosive ammunition.
* Exercises extreme care in working with unstable and unusually hazardous items to prevent accidents or explosives.
* Assisted in securing trucks for transporting of ammunition, explosives, and propellants from maintenance line or storage location to demilitarization area.
* Reports malfunction to supervisor and comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and all documentation applicable to operations which include safety, environmental, quality and technical.
* Make continuity check at the conductive shoe station to ensure that proper resistance reading is attained.
* Decan missiles and assure all explosive and industrial safety precautions are taken during all operations.
* Disassemble missile into major components, band, stencil proper markings and load onto vehicle to transport from maintenance line or storage location to demilitarization area.
* Recanned missile and components and assure that all are properly grounded.
* Ensure that all tools and equipment are serviceable and have current calibration and inspection dates.
* Cleaned and prepared surfaces for painting and determined need for painting or spot painting to meet standard specifications.
* Use crane slings, hoisting devices, dollies, buggies, and specially designed conveyances to move missiles and missile components into, throughout, and out of facility...
