First factor globalization is the increasing interdependence, integration and interaction among people and corporations in disparate locations around the world (Wikipedia 2007).

AT&T is the world’s largest communications company. Its annual revenues are over $50 billion, and the company employs over 110,000 employees. The company provides voice, data, online, satellite communications via its Worldwide Intelligent Network (the largest digital transmission network in the world). In 1996 AT&T revenue had a 25 percent increase because the company increased its holdings and business ventures outside the U.S. The company total revenue is expected to grow twice the level by the end of this decade. In 1997 AT&T appointed a special customer service team that focused on products that appeal to a global audience. AT&T network includes 38 internet data centers on four continents across the globe (AT&T, 2008). The company offers a variety of communication products and services that appeal to individuals and companies outside the U.S. The demand for these types of products and services is on the rise especially within major corporations. AT&T is the industry leader of communication services, which serves millions of individuals and businesses on six continents (AT&T, 2008).
