2012 Fiscal Year

The Fiscal year of 2012 started with great economic hesitation, fortunately ending in a significant growth for Accenture. Accenture has created their highest revenue ever, $27.9 billion, creating a 9 percent increase in US dollar since 2011. In addition to their revenues they were gladly added to S&P 100 Index in fiscal 2012. “Our main focus in fiscal 2012 was, as it always is, on our clients, helping them address the challenges presented by the long-term trends of globalization, regulation, rationalization, and technology innovation (Nanterme 2012).”

Conclusion

All in all, Accenture created a $16.5B increase in revenue since 2001. In March of 2012 Accenture announced a 20 percent increase in semi-annual cash dividend per share. “Pierre Nanterme, CEO of Accenture, said, “we are pleased with our financial results for fiscal 2012, which met or exceeded our business outlook for the year. Our revenue growth was strong and broad-based across the different dimensions of our business, and we increased EPS [Earnings Per Share] by 13 percent. Our balance sheet remains very strong, with a cash balance of $6.6B. We also achieved record new bookings of $9.2B for the fourth quarter bringing us to $32.2B for the year, our highest ever (Nanterme, 2012).”” Over all, Pierre is proud of the strong achievements his company, Accenture, was able to make despite the economic climate.
