The article by Pashk discusses the evaluative for management information needed by today’s organization for their decision makers to help them in the decision making process. This article will be useful for business’s managers, government’s officials and the organization’s administrators because they can use this information to develop and improve their companies or organizations. The author used in his article quantitative method by using statistical sampling of administrative cost cutters. In addition, the author used qualitative method by saying the proper use of the criteria will involve the assessment of qualitative as well as qualitative data. The author argues the evaluative criteria for management need covered the bases and these are feasibility which can the wanted information be achieved and Necessity which is how necessary is needed information in achieving organization’s goals. Furthermore, usefulness is the information useful in the management process. Also the author argues many other criteria and these are cost justifiability, end used oriented, distribution adequacy, desired frequency, reliability, sensitivity, efficiency and effectiveness. On the other hand, the author stated some pitfalls to avoid in the management decision process and these are unnecessary data which means avoiding extra or unwanted data which would not help the organization in its decision making in this situation. Furthermore, the author state in his article that managers or administrators should avoid in their management the duplication of effort, over detailed data and untimely data. Pashke finally recommends that the evaluative criteria can be used as framework by management in planning, developing and monitoring organization information needs.
