Five Guys Famous Philosophy

Determine how Five Guys’ philosophy set it apart from other fast-food chains.

Five Guys has the best philosophy for a fast-food restaurant. Quality is their number one focus along with customer service. Quality can be defined in several different ways. Webster defines quality as peculiar and essential character; an inherent feature; degree of excellence; just to name a few. The degree of excellence is what the founder Jerry and Janie Murrell stood by when they opened up and started severing their first customers. . In his own words Jerry Murrell’s business plan was simple “sell a really good, juicy burger on a fresh bun. Make perfect French fries. Don’t cut corners” (Burke, 2012). This slogan is what set Five Guy’s apart from other fast-food chains. Jerry’s main focus was on the quality of food and service rendered to every customer that walked through the door. Five Guy’s burgers and fries are made fresh to order making the quality of your meal exemplary. Focusing on the detail of every order is what makes this restaurant stand out above the rest. Other fast-food restaurants focus on serving your food fast but Five Guy’s would rather you wait on a quality burger and fries. Customer service is important in other companies but the focus is on fast service. Customer Service is another factor that set Five Guy’s apart. Jerry Murrell belief was if you treat the customer right from the beginning they will sell your product for you. Five Guy’s stood by their motto by making sure every customer is treated right the minute you walk through their doors. Two audits are performed weekly by third parties to rate the customer service and the cleanliness of the stores.
