There are various standalone databases that exist. Also, there are various databases that depend on a server that is internet-based. The place that I work at, DT Gruelle, we depend on a website cloud database that stores all of our data. It is called Questaweb. The Questaweb database is extremely diverse and incorporates many tools to make the ease of use nearly flawless. There are a numerous entities and attributes to the system. I will evaluate some of the problems and the constraints. Also, I will elaborate on the some of the objectives of the database environment.

DT Gruelle is a freight forwarding company. We are a third party logistics movement agency that creates and stores data all day long. The broad scope of the system is to create individual folders, or references, and store this information for others to access. The Questaweb system allows us to store all necessary shipment information for all transactions. The Questaweb database is currently on the internet that is hosted by its own server. One major advantage with using the system is anyone can gain access from anywhere in the world as long as they have a login and password. The only difference is a server must be highlighted to have full access to all of the data that is within DT Gruelle.

There is an abundance of entities that are involved with such a diverse system as Questaweb, that I picked out just a few key areas that are critical in our everyday operation. The first entity would be a reference number. A reference number is generated when creating a new shipment. For example, if a client decides to use our services, I would login to the system and click on the auto-generate button. This will populate the next reference number in the sequence.
