Security to the organization.

Organizations hold sensitive information on their employees,  financial results, and business plans for the future and they also hold trade secrets, research and other information that gives them a competitive edge over the others and these confidential aspects of the company needs to be secure as the intruders can ruin the current and future plans by making use of the confidential data.

Since the Organizations rely on IT resources today to handle vast amounts of information and a breach usually entails huge financial penalties, expensive law suits, loss of reputation. and heavy losses in the market. The attacks on the confidential data of the organizations are prominent these days by the methods of hacking, phishing and other physical methods also. As the information confidentiality is the key for the growth of the company, so the information security policy is required for the organizations to protect the information regarding their plans and policies. More of the information is stored and processed electronically and transmitted across company networks or the internet, the risk of unauthorized access increases and we are presented with growing challenges of how best to protect it so organizations need the perfect information security policy. Information security should place a framework for responding to incidents and threats and it must be prepared to take longer-term action to proactively defend the business against future threats and enable it to take full advantage of changing business opportunities.

The impact of the threats can cause a lot of loss to the organization and when security breaching incidents occur they emerge in a context, and their rarity and even their uniqueness give rise to unpredictable threats so the companies needs to put emphasis on the policy for the security of the information.
