SIXTH SANGGUNIANG BARANGAY

BARANGAY ORDINANCE NO. 01 – 2013

PROVIDING FUNDS FOR MEDICAL CARE AND BURIAL ASSISTANCE FOR BARANGAY COGON INDIGENT VICTIM OF DENGUE CASES

Whereas, Barangay Cogon has the desire to served the needs of the inhabitants of the Barangay as its vision, mission, goal:

Whereas, the social responsibility of the Barangay to assist the financial needs of each constituent, particularly the indigent inhabitants;

Whereas, the desire of Barangay Cogon to give medical care and burial assistance to the victims of dengue cases;

NOW THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Sangguniang Barangay of Cogon District in session duly assembled that:

Section 1 – Title – Medical care and Burial assistance to Dengue Victim

A) There shall be a fund budgeted/ allocated per year for medical care and burial financial assistance for indigent victims of dengue cases in the Barangay in the amount of Fifty Thousand Pesos Only (P50 000.00);

B) The amount of Two Thousand Pesos Only (P2,000.00) shall be available for medical assistance incase of confinement and Two Thousand Pesos (P2,000.00) for burial assistance incase of death.

Section 2 – Recepient

A) Those resident of Barangay Cogon duly registered in the record of Barangay inhabitants;

B) Those classified and certified by the City Welfare Office as indigent inhabitants;

Section 3- Availment

A) The medical care and burial assistance shall be a onetime privilege in one given year;

B) The financial assistance be availed/given upon submission of all necessary documents needed as required by accounting and auditing procedure;

Section 4 – Effectivity. This ordinance shall take effect upon the approval of the Sangguniang Panlungsod.
