According to the case of www.memorial.gov.hk, the G2C (Government to Citizens) is being applied to provide memorial services directly to HK citizens from the government site. This type of e-government category is used to be a communication link between the residents or individual and a government. Generally, the places can be taken by G2C are at the state, federal and local levels. It is also stands in contrast to the Government to business field. The fundamental problems it tries to solve are:

The government provide different services to the citizen such as information of all government department, different welfare schemes and application forms to be used for the residents. The transparency is necessary because it allows the residents to be informed about what the government is working on or the policies that they are trying to implement.

It helps to simplify the working processes and access to government information much more easily and effectively for the public sector residents and agencies. By using the electronics government access, some of the simple tasks can be performed easier and effectively. In this case, the citizens can be able to create a memorial webpage for the deceased person who had used the services that provide by the related department such as cremated at public crematoria and buried at the Gallant Garden. They can input all the relevant information and have the edition online without long process time and lots of paper work.

Moreover, it is convenient and cost effective for both citizens and business, and the benefits by getting easy operation and access to the updated status and information without spending money, time and material. By using the e-government, it’s a way to improve better service, more accountability and transparency.
