Week 4 Swot

I selected JavaNet Café as my sample business plan. The research has been done and the need for internet is in demand and will stay in demand. It has a financial research of the business model. Business plans shows that it will have sufficient capital in reserve to make and sell the product for over a year. A business plan to protect the owner and how start-up fees will be spent, part of it will be spent on 11 computers, two printers and a scanner.

JaveNet Café is managed properly then it will be successful and can expand in other locations. Allowing people to invest into will allow more money to help build up the business. Research for the location is very important, where no other café are in the area, or don’t have internet access in the café that are near by. A café that offers the computers, printers and scanner will market itself, just need a couple of people to come in to see what it offers. If planned right it can be successful.

The business plan is thought-out on the financial side on start up fees, supplies and equipment needed to open the café, but does not give a cost measure of how productively of JaveNet Café resources will be used. It gives no allowance for marketing or to hire employees, much less a manager. The plan solely depends on the available computers and printers to draw customers. Technology is constantly changing, people have laptops with access to the internet, along with a portable printer, and how much will a café with computers be needed. The business plan does not have a marketing plan or who would run the business. If employees are hired, who will be training them? JaveNet Café has poorly thought out organizational structure.

There are several threats to this company; there are so many café that specialize in the same plan. This location was located in a downtown area close to a nice restaurant; most likely there are other cafés or coffee shop, which JaveNet Café will have to compete with. If the research for...
