What are the positive aspects of stereotypes, if any?

The only positive stereotype that I believe is that the older you get the wiser you become. The reason I think this is the only positive stereotype is because it’s kinda true. The older you get the more you experience in ths world, thus becoming wiser and knowledgable about the world.

What are the negative aspects of stereotypes?
