Computer Maintenance Management Systems Corder (1976) gives an insight into the scope of modern maintenance management, Chapman (1993) states that CMMS software was seen first around 1976, Lamendola (1998) emphasizes the need to eliminate non-value added activities especially with respect to documentation of work within maintenance,

Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) at batching plant for ready mix concrete based on software methodology will be able to delivers various benefits to organizations by delivering information to maintenance engineers and managers.

The CMMS enhancing the equipment preventive / inspection maintenance planning and scheduling and it upgrade into automation for work orders because in actual working environment, it is very difficult for plant managers at batching plant to monitor and control overall maintenance for batching plant. CMMS reduces time of works and easily documenting files. CMMS control spares module to reduce spares and still have parts on hand for plants facilities maintenance. CMMS generate reports on labor requirements for each work order totaling the information by craft and week and also showing imbalances and requirements for additional personnel.

The aim of developing CMMS is to identify or conventional maintenance system at ready mix concrete plant, to propose a CMMS model at ready mix concrete plant and develop CMMS prototype. CMMS focus used in Wet and Dry Ready Mix Concrete Plants and only cover common maintenance work progress items that used in wet and dry ready mix concrete plants for production facilities such batching equipment, batching control system, machines, preventive maintenance (PM) scheduling, automatic work other generation, and data integrity for report.
