At the beginning of the project the implementation strategy should have been determined. When the implement is reached, it is crucial to complete a review of the original implementation strategy. (Jeston J. and Nelis J, pg.220) This will allow my team to obtain a better understanding of possible changes that were put into place or need to be corrected. Also, during this time of brainstorming, the initial decision or strategy could have changed.

Big Bang- This is introduced all at one time making it faster to implement but can cause a delay and disruption of business. The advantage out this strategy is that every idea is put on the table for invoicing and gets the ball rolling on e-voicing. The disadvantage is it will be time consuming trying to do everything all at once not to mention expensive since it won’t be over time period.

Parallel- This is also a fast implementation strategy due to the roll-out. This allows the next step to start before the previous step was finished. The only flaw in this the overlapping and the lack of resources. The advantage is that one section can be working on improving data information while accounting is working on their end. The downfall of this is the possibility of the information not coinciding with each other because something was missed or left out.

Relay- This is when change is introduced in steps and though this implementation is good for quality, it will also delay some steps. This will happen if there is a hold up on the previous step that prevents the next step from being started or completed.

Combination- The combination is the mixture of relay, parallel, and the big bang that allows the organization to be flexible. In these times of economic uncertainty, there are many reasons a company may want to implement e-Invoicing processes with both their suppliers and their customers.
