When a person is sleeping, his blood sugar level will drop. Therefore, it is important for students to eat healthy breakfast to get their day started. Some of the students do not have time to prepare breakfast meal for themselves as they have overslept or they do not feel hungry when they just get up. Even so, they still have to keep themselves energetic for the whole day. Students could set alarm before they go to bed so that they could wake up earlier to prepare breakfast. Another alternative is that, students could buy ready-to-eat healthy food such as yoghurt and granula from the convenient stores. Students could opt for low-sugar yoghurt as yoghurt is a type of high-energy food (Ray, 2011). Students may think that coffee could keep them alert throught out the class hours and they will have coffee for their breakfast. However, caffeine works temporarily only. Too much of caffeine in the body will lead to overdependence on coffee which will cause students to suffer from headache if they do not drink coffee for a day (Shults, 2010).

A good breakfast should consist of all the essential nutrients that human need (Cornell, 2009). A healthy meal does not count on the quantity of food, what matter the most is the quality of food. One of the examples of good breakfast is an omelet made from two egg whites , an egg yolk, spinash, tomatoes and some berries on the side. Food that has more protein tend to make one feel full for longer hours (Sifferlin, 2012).
