Are Chemical and Biological Weapons safe to use in war?

No, chemical and biological weapon are not safe to use in war.

Essay: Usage of Chemical and Biological Weapons in War

Though known to be common methods of warfare for the world’s militias, chemical and biological weapons are used by everyday civilians as well. Chemical and Biological warfare dates back to 1000 B.C., in foreign countries, and back to 1763 in the United States. A chemical weapon is a toxic chemical that is contained and delivered by something such as a bomb or a shell while a biological weapon is defined as a harmful biological agent (as a pathogenic microorganism or a neurotoxin) used as a weapon to cause death or disease, usually on a large scale. Both processes disperse agents, making these methods very dangerous. They have long term effects on people’s health, on the vegetation, and long term effects on livestock. For these reasons, Chemical and Biological Weapons should not be used in war. All of these things directly affect the human race.

Whenever the agents of these weapons settle onto the land, they settle into soil, impacting present stocks. These stocks are distributed throughout the world, via global trading, causing harm to whoever ingests them. It is an ongoing cycle for future plants if the problem remains undetected.

Furthermore, many animals rely on vegetation such as grass and other natural growth for feeding. By the animals ingesting these plants, they contract the antigen. This could have a direct effect on the food chain, beginning with insects and elevating to larger animals. How does this affect humans? It is possible for the animals to pass and contract disease during the reproduction process, causing an epidemic. If this is the case with our everyday game, such as beef;...
