Identify the common roles in a human resource project. Then, analyze these roles to typical human resource functions.
Human resource projects are very important and many organizations analyze their strengths,
weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to meet strategic goals. Common roles are project
sponsors, project managers, and core team members and these shared positions are identified and
required to meet the needs of a human resource projects. These roles are different functions that
work together to achieve a successful project.
According to Dineshbaki.com, typical human resource functions include manpower planning;
this involves the planning for the future and finding out how many employees will be needed in
the future by the business and what types of skills should they possess. In addition, job analysis
and job description, determining wages and salaries, recruitment and selection, training and
development, employee welfare and motivation, implementing organizational policies, and
performance appraisals.
According to Kloppenborg et al, a sponsor is an individual or group that provides financial
assistance for the project and has a significant stake in the outcome of the project. A sponsor can
sometimes perform various tasks in regards to the project, whether behind the scenes or in the
