There are a few ways that a teacher can task analysis a subject that they are about to teach there students. Depending on the subject or skill that they want their students to learn depends on how they will break down the tasks. Having a student add a two digit number and also tying the laces of their shoes both need to be simplified into steps that the student can follow. By using the behaviorism learning theory to teach how to tie the laces of shoes the student will be able to follow what the teacher is doing. To perform the proper arithmetic to solve a two digit addition problem the theory of constructionism was used to help the student add on to what they already know how to do.

While I used the behaviorism learning theory to teach the student to tie their shoelaces; I feel that it was the best way to have the student learn such a fine motor skill ability; “the behavioral emphasis on breaking down complex tasks, such as learning to read, into subskills that are taught separately.” (Chen, n.d.) To successfully perform the task of tying the laces of a shoe there are many steps that are needed to be followed and preformed. The correct movements of the hands and fingers of the students that are learning the skill must be done correctly. By using the behaviorism learning theory the student will be able to observe the actions that the teacher is making and then mimic the movements. Having the student learn to tie their shoes will help them develop fine motor skills. Students with good fine motor skills will in turn have good handwriting; which they will need in their future classes and I life. During the lesson the student watched as I tied the shoelaces of my shoes in a slow methodical way. The second time that I tied my shoelaces I had the student follow along and tie their shoes. I tied the shoelaces again in slow motion so the student could follow my movements. The next time I had the student tie their shoes while following my directions, while...
