HCA362: Research & Analysis for Health Care
The AbioCor is the first completely self-sufficient artificial heart that has been a product of three decades of research (AbioCor). The AbioCor system is designed to sustain the body’s circulatory system and to help extend the lives of patients who may die of heart failure. The AbioCor is intended for end-stage heart failure patients who have had other treatment options but have been exhausted. The AbioCor is an internal thoracic unit that has a rechargeable battery which is made so it can move the blood through the lungs and the rest of the body (AbioCor).
Assuming government permission, should Abiomed rush into production of its AbioCor system?
- The AbioCor system is helpful for its patients, and I do believe that there should be a rush put to go forth in production. Because there are thousands of people out there in the world that could use this system and I think that it should be available for the ones that have tried everything else, or has not been able to find anything else to help them. The AbioCor pumps 7 liters of blood a minute compared with the 2 liters the patients damaged heart could deliver. A concept is a generally accepted collection of meanings or characteristics associated with certain events, objects,...
