a. Internal Environment

Career Situation and objectives

I am currently a college student undertaking a course in Marketing and Procurement Management. As a prospective expert in the marketing and procurement profession, I intend to create a personal development plan to guide my advancement in the field (Beagrie, 2006). My initiative is principally founded on the knowledge that the current global business environment is characterized by acute competition. Additionally, in order to survive in this competitive setting, one must be fully equipped in terms of education, expertise and professional connections. I also acknowledge the fact that with global operations, corporations are seeking to recruit individuals with extensive knowledge regarding manufacturers, market conditions, customers, retailers and suppliers. Therefore, my principal objective is to complete my college education with exemplary grades. The second is to acquire an internship position within a recognized organization for about one to two years. This will enable me to carry out cross-functional duties that relate to marketing and procurement within a global supply chain. My subsequent goal is to effectively manage a product’s whole life cycle, including acquisition, promotion, distribution, allocation, and delivery. In approximately five years’ time, my profession goal is to work as a marketing and logistics manager in a major global corporation (Lawton, 2000).

Resources

Presently, my studies are being financed via a wide array of resources. The greater proportion of my tuition and other academic fees is covered by the institution’s tuition waivers.
