Conflict of war –

A conflict carried on by force of arms, as between nations or between parties within a nation; warfare, as by land, sea, or air.

Social Conflict –

Social conflict is the struggle for agency or power in society, open struggle over values and meanings or property, income, and power, or both. Social conflict derives out of inequality of power and authority within and between social organizations.

Generational conflict –

Arises whenever the interests or ideals of one generation collide openly with those of another, A generation is defined here as a "cohort group" that is born over a span of years—typically about twenty—and that shares characteristics, including some shared childhood and coming-of-age experiences.

International Conflict –

Traditionally, the term "international conflict" referred to conflicts between different nation-states and conflicts between people and organizations in different nation-states. Increasingly, however, it also applies to inter-group conflicts within one country when one group is fighting for independence or increased social, political, or economic power (e.g., Chechnya, Kosovo).

Political Conflict –

Political conflict thus is related both to the political process and to the rare environment in which competition for goods occurs. Since resources with which to address social, economic and political problems always are scarce, winners and losers in the political process inevitably emerge in all political systems. To an extent that often disturbs new students of the subject; the cast of winners and losers in most political systems only slowly changes. But social / economic reality is, to a degree altered by the political process: e.g., once a tax break is won, the industry or social group that benefits from it needs only work to influence the conversion process in such a manner as to impede the repeal of the tax break.
