Section 1: Executive Summary

1.1 Business Idea and goals

Mr. and Mrs. Burger is a small, privately established trading company which specialises in selling various types of burger with mobile catering service in Miri. As a closely-held company (Sdn. Bhd), Mr. and Mrs. Burger is established and operated by two shareholders: Mr.Yeo Zhi Chao (70% shareholding) and Miss.Sim Siok Yun(30% shareholding).

The major shareholder of the company (Mr. Yeo Zhi Chao) intended to initiate the business with six employees (include the shareholders) and progressively expanding the business to employ 10 or 15 people within 2-3 years of inception. Mr and Mrs Burger aim to become the most popular fast food restaurant in Malaysia and in the future, the business plans to develop into franchise. By the end of its first year of trading, the business plans to make sales revenue of about RM591, 000 and net profit of over RM300, 000.

1.2 Marketing

The main target for the business will be the international students such as Bruneian and west Malaysian students of Curtin University Sarawak, Miri. The residents and workers who stay in the Senadin area are also our target market. Our premise is located in Senadin area where the campus is situated, enabling students to gain access to the service more quickly and easier. Furthermore, it will be convenient for the residents and workers as it is located near to their homes and factories.

Mr and Mrs Burger will be able to satisfy the consumers’ demand for fresh and new meal concepts. To attract more customers, proper marketing strategies will be carried out based on three principles: satisfied customers, builds a strong customer base early on to form a range of repeated customers and healthy, preservatives free as well as affordable price as our competitive edge. Different forms of sales and promotions are intended to be done for the three target markets.

1.3 Operation

The business will operate with six employees (Yeo Zhi...
