In an organization, conflict is unavoidable and is can be seen at any level of organization. Organizational conflict is caused by some reasons. It is said that the differences in characteristic and point of view are original sources of conflict. Furthermore, conflict comes from different cultures which lead to different ways to deal with problems. Jennifer M. George and Gareth R. Jones (2008) realize that competition and battle for promotion also cause conflict.

A lot of researchers show that conflict is consider to have both pros and cons (M. Afzalur Rahim, 2011; Michael A. Hitt, C. Chet Miller & Adrienne Colella, 2011). However, if conflicts cannot be solved or resolved not satisfactory, the organization can be pushed into chaos and degradation. Conflict is the reason for widening the gap between people and break relationship in group. Hence, managers of organization should recognize the conflicts as soon as possible, find the causes and the solutions for these conflicts in order to maintain the most efficient operation of organization.

A group or team is a small organization and also contains hidden inconsistency. Using teamwork is very popular in modern life. There is a fact that a lot of managers are just care of the benefit of teamwork while they do not pay enough attention in teamwork’s problems that can arise in group activities. So their employees are not equipped with the knowledge and skills which are necessary for the organization and handling of situations when conflicts occur.

Positive conflict creates a healthy competitive environment and improves efficiency of organization. However, negative conflict often makes people tired and cause a decrease in productivity. As a result, it is necessary to do research about how to manage conflict to ensure the efficiency of teamwork.
