Although some believe professional baseball players who took steroids should be inducted into the Hall of Fame, but they shouldn’t because it isn’t fair to the players who never took steroids. My reasons are steroids can increase players batting statistics. Not only can steroids increase hitting, it can also help pitchers out too. The last reason is steroids can be very harmful to your health. Let me tell you more about this.

Steroids have shown some big breakthroughs when it comes to home runs. During the steroid era, 83 players have had 40 or more home run seasons. This compared to the other baseball eras is a tremendous amount. People that use steroids are stronger and can hit the ball harder. Not only do steroids increase power, it also increases hand eye coordination so a player has a better chance of getting a hit.

Steroids can help pitchers in a few ways too. They can help a pitcher recover quickly after their game. Steroids give pitchers more endurance so they can stay in the game longer and face more batters. This leads to my next point. The pitcher can through the ball harder and throw more pitches witch then leads to more strikeouts.

Steroids are also damaging to your health. Steroids can trigger something in your brain that can make you a very aggravated person. Steroids can lead to eye diseases, infections, and can eventually lead to blindness. Steroids cause high cholesterol and can lead to heart disease. Eventually, the steroids can kill you.

Let me tell you the reasons why steroid users could be inducted to the Hall of Fame. The baseball users still make it exciting to the fans even if they used steroids. The pitchers still through the strike outs, and the batters still hit all those home runs. The baseball players who used steroids still put in all that work to get big. Even though they cheated, they still gave a lot of effort.
