What Should BP do to Appease People Affected by Oil Spill

The BP oil disaster in the gulf has posed a threat on the people and the environment that surround the oil spill. As of right now, BP is currently trying to enforce efforts to help those who have lost money, the animals who have been affected and the many people who lives have been put on hold while they look for other means of employment. When will BP step up their efforts and do more to support the people living along the Gulf States, and to save the environment on which they are destroying? Even though there is no amount of money that can be put on helping the people and organisms come out of the oil spill, I strongly believe more should be done and Bp should think more about doing off shore drilling and all the effects and consequences that come with it.

The effects of offshore drilling can be catastrophic, especially after seeing what has happened in the Gulf. There are many concerns that come to mind to when thinking about whether it is okay to drill off shore knowing that the effects are harmful to the ecosystems that are living under the rig, and surrounding it. Just from drilling alone we are polluting the water with different toxins that are killing off most of the marine animals. Research sponsored by the U.S. government is discussed regarding submerged clouds of small oil droplets. The potential poisonous effects of these droplets on deep ocean creatures are causing them to die and poison them. If not all the oil is surfacing, what does BP think is happening to the rest of the oil? Since most the gulf is prone to oil to spills, there are tons of bacteria eating organisms that are thriving off the oil. Is this what BP plans will work in preventing total destruction on the Gulf?

What then happens to the many shrimpers and fishermen who rely solely on their many pounds of shrimp and fish to support their families? With all their catch being contaminated, many people are...
