You can set the server to only allow the network to access information; this won’t let any outsiders in. Allowing certain dates and times for users to access data can also come in handy. Let’s say you know that on the weekends and any day after 6:00pm, nobody will need to be accessing data, you can set it to only allow log-ins during specific times. Similar to only allowing access to the network, you can go a step further and set it to specific IP address. Setting strong password requirements is also important. There are common passwords that the general public uses, and that’s just too easy for someone trying to get on the network. This will make sure everyone has a safe password.
