Why do you think it is important for HR to be a strategic partner to the business?

HR is responsible for recruiting top candidates for open positions, and being able to identify the assets that these candidates can bring to a company. Employees are the life of the businesses; they are the ones who make the functions of the business happen. Without having the right people placed within the company the success of that company would be impossible, especially for larger companies. HR is also essential in outlining the policies and procedures of a company. These rules and regulations are essential in making a safe and efficient work environment which will ensure all employees are content with the work environment. HR is also vital in the training of employees, which enhances the business indirectly. When you have more employees with a greater knowledge on a subject, or the ability to be better effective in their day to day work this trickles down to the success of the company as a whole. Keeping employees educated on the functions of their jobs and the changes in the industry ensure that the company is a head of the curve.

HR handles benefits and training, two major things that impact the impact the employees views on a company.
