I agree with what the author is saying because people do change the way they think and act in order to adapt to society. People even change how they dress, change their sense of humor and how much they do or don’t study. This is the case for a lot of people. Other people however are their own person, and do not care what others think of them. When I moved schools for sixth grade, I changed the way I acted toward other people, I developed a new sense of humor, and even dressed differently.

All of this is from personal experience. I did this though because the school that I moved to was very different. My old style and the way I acted was different from everyone else’s at that school. So. I changed and made some friends. This is an example supporting the author’s statement.

There are also the people who are their own person. They don’t change anything to fit in. These people are independent. These kind of people are respectable and disprove the author’s statement. Every person is not like this though.

At the end of the day though, everyone goes home and regains their individuality. This is easy because there is no one around to judge you or make you feel like you need to change. Keeping this individuality is sometimes difficult in society. The author’s statement is true about people changing to fit in to society, but sometime during the day, everyone regains their individuality. This is always true in my opinion.

I know from personal experience that people change. There are many people that do this. Some people always have their individuality with them wherever they go which also disproves the author’s statement. Everyone has changed at some point in their life to fit in.
